Hey guys, my problem is stated as following:

When watching a video, it doesn't matter where, in the Video app, in Chrome, in Edge, Youtube or Twitch. Everywhere the video playback gets asynchronous over time.( At the beginning: None, at 2 minutes: ~0.5sec, after 15 minutes:~3sec  )The video always lacks behind the sound. Only in VLC I haven't experienced Videos getting asynchronous.

I already reset everything to factory default in the Bios and tested various screen resolutions but without success. Does anyone know from where to tackle this problem?

Windows 10 Pro 64Bit

  • Asus x99A (BIOS version 3505, latest)
  • Intel i7 6800k(overclocked to 4.1GHz but issue still present at stock speeds)
  • 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600MHz XMP profile 1)
  • Zotac GTX 1080 Amp Edition!
  • Samsung 840 (non pro) SSD (250GB) boot drive
  • Seagate 4TB Desktop SSHD
  • Seagate 2TB Desktop SSHD
  • Old Toshiba 300GB Notebook drive
  • Corsair RM750i

Have you tried updating the audio drivers on your board? ei install the latest Realtek® ALC1150 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC featuring Crystal Sound 2 updates?

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

I updated the audio driver but that hasn't solved the issue unfortunately.

Open up youtube,

Right click video,

Click stat for nerds,

At the bottom there is a stat called dropped frames. How many do you have?

You'll always get some, Around 1-2 a minute.

However I would think your GPU is dropping frames but not syncing up correctly after.

Just a guess though.

It's not a race to the bottom.

About 1/1000 are dropped frames. I don't think this is the Problem though. How could I check, if my GPU is making problems?
