cheap mod mic alternative

I need a decent mic that can attach to my headphones but i don't want to spend more on a modmic than a desktop mic like the blue snowball, can someone find me a cheaper alternative?

How about a lav mic and jerry rigging it to your headphones? Or actually, you could just clip it to the cable.

There are a ton of lapel mics on ebay, maybe you can buy an audio technica and clip it to the cable as @VVoltor said

Yeah i was thinking of that, what about studio headphones? something under £50 i saw the audiotechnica mx20s or the superlux 668b? any of those good or any you'd recommend?
