This is super cool stuff, I didn't know about this kind of thing until @Energycore helped me out on my RYZEN build.  Just want to put this video out on the forum in case someone else makes the same mistake as me.

They changed the memory timings rather than just the memory speed

If you want the best performance out of ryzen right now, you should get RAM that's guaranteed to have Samsung B-Die chips. Good choices are the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz C15 and the G.Skill TridentZ 3200MHz C15. Once you have that, you'll get more performance out of running a faster RAM speed than tighter timings, so you should try to hit 3600MHz even if you have to do timings like 17-17-20-42 or similar. You won't notice issues with latency, but if you can hit 3600 with lower timings do it because it might mean 1 or 2 more fps if you're on a 1080 Ti.

If you'll use a GPU like a 1080 or lower for games, don't bother just run the memory at its rated speed. (But still try to get some 3GHz RAM)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

My first build was on boxing day!  I only joined this server in Feb. xD I'm constantly thinking about what an awesome time it is to get into PC building, what with the AMD renaissance and cool AF gpus.  Plus, everything is RGB :P

I plan to get a b350 Board bc I don't have 50$ extra to spend on x370 Would this matter a lot? And if so what would you recommend if any
