Hey guys just wanted to ask if someone has already tried and played it? Is it good in the PC version? I read and heard some reports saying it sucks in the pc not well optimized and etc. How does it stack up now?

yes, it is an incredible game. if you like hack and slash / spectacle fighters with some bullet hell, it'll do perfectly

as for PC port, it's true that the game is kinda not up to snuff. luckily there's a mod a guy has been developing that has fixed the most annoying issues

https://github.com/Kaldaien/FAR/releases

it's being regularly updated as well

there's also a patch SE will be pushing out soon. but for now that mod is your best bet

It's not a terrible port, but it does have some issues. It seems to render at about 900p when set to fullscreen, despite the render resolution you have set. The FAR mod fixes that just fine. The game does not lack most of the proper PC port options.. it supports a wide range of render resolutions up to 4K and, I think, 21:9 as well. The framerate is hard-capped at 60 FPS. It supports rebinding both the keyboard and controller (I'd recommend using the latter).

I've heard that some have had issues with performance, but I didn't. I played it at basically max settings at 1080p with a GTX 1070, and it tended to stay at 60 FPS throughout. The FAR mod mentioned above has a setting that allows you to tweak the global illumination settings of the game, and I've heard some have seen massive performance improvements by reducing it. I didn't try it myself, though.

The game itself is fantastic. It's hard to say much without spoiling things but it's extremely clever and surprising, and actually gets more interesting after the first time you "beat" it. I'm up to 70 hours across three playthroughs so far, and I think I still have a little more story content to go.

the FAR mod actually unlocked frame rate, but i haven't tried it yet.

the global illumination does wonder for performance. i have a 1070 as well but run at 1440p so reducing illumination helps massively. but i've noticed that if you go below Medium, it breaks some shadow LODs.

Thanks for this detailed explanation. So if my understanding is correct you have played the game without doing any modding? Please do correct me if O am wrong. I haven't played the first installment of the game but I really want to play this game so bad since the FFXV pc ver won't come out in a while. Its somewhat like the rebound for me not being able to play FFXV hahaha.

Oh I see. Well as of now I'm only rocking an Asus PG248Q so I'm only at 1080p. So it may seem that I might encounter a little bit more performance increase if I reduce the illumination?

I used the FAR mod to fix the fullscreen resolution issue. It's extremely easy to install, especially if you use the Automatic Installation in the link in my last post.

I also used ReShade to tweak some of the shaders to my taste, but that wasn't to fix anything wrong with the port.

I did not know that. It's still being actively updated and I know it got a lot of new functionality while I was playing the game. I have a 60 Hz monitor anyway.

Oh, I see that it's not out yet in Southeast Asia. Sorry to hear that. :(

I found this, though:
