I feel like my cpu is getting to hot. I'm debating delidding it or changing my air pressure. RIght now I have 2x120 mm at the front as intake, 1x 120mm at the back as exhaust, and top radiator as exhaust, it's a corsair h100i gtx.

something is VERY wrong with your CPU cooler...it probably does not make good contact with the chip...those CPU's run NOWHERE near that hot with that cooler...i have a H100i myself on a 4770K which is known to be even much worse than the 4790K and the max temp i can get is like...68c...and this is pushing it real hard.

CPU throttling at 100C...even prime 95 wouldn't do that...

OP, when you installed the backplate behind the board for the cooler did you had issues? did you feel it was loose and wiggling?
