OverClocking Intel i5 6600k

I have managed to get a stable overclock of 4.677Ghz with a max of 1.508 V and an average of about 1.375 V on my I5 6600k.   I wanna run this as a 24/7 OC but I don't know if this would be healthy for my pc.  The max temps are 81C. Can anyone help? If so thanks.

 

 

 

My current build -

Motherboard - Asus pro gaming z170

CPU - Intel i5 6600k

Cooler - Corsair h100i V2

RAM - 16gb ddr4 hyper x fury 2133Mhz

Case - Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower

GPU - EVGA Geforce GTX 1050ti

PSU - Corsair CX850M modular

Storage - 2x WD Blue 500gb 7200 rpm HDDs

               Samsung 850evo 250gb ssd

Those volts are quite high... 1.4v is the maximum recommended for 24/7 usage.. I personally dont take my 6700k over 1.35v unless I am running benchmarks.

Ok. So I guess I will sadly lower my voltage.  Do you know of any good hardware monitors that are accurate?

Those are really high volts, Recommend at most 1.4

I use coretemp and hwmonitor to monitor my voltages and temps.

Try 1.37 volts out, benchmark for 1 hour, see if it blue screens. And set the overclock to 4.5 instead.

As I said earlier, 1.4v is the maximum you should use for 24/7 as long as your temps stay within range on the package below 75-80c during long periods of stress testing. I personally do not run my 6700k any more than 1.35v 24/7 unless benchmarking, then I will jump the voltage and clock up for that advantage.

everyone always says "1.4v is the max 24/7 voltage for skylake".... seen it many times in this thread as well as other threads since skylake came out..... does anyone actually know what the downside is if you push that limit or exceed it? I was under the impression the only real downside is it reduces the lifespan of the chip.... so assuming he doesn't expect this 6600k to last a decade (since he will probably upgrade before then) then what is the big deal if it runs it around 1.375-1.4?

Or are there more serious consequences?
