1080p videos lag on 4k monitor?

ayyyyZJ

hey guys, just got a 4k monitor and theres one problem i just cant figure out how to fix. videos buffer and stutter, a lot. im not talking about 4k videos, im talking about 1080p and 720p videos. for example, when i try to watch a twitch clip in 1080p, the video and audio will not be synced, or the video will stop while the audio keeps going. when i switch to my 1080p monitor, the problem is gone. any ideas on whats wrong? i would get if my wifis slow, but its pretty fast (70-90mbps) and it doesnt have any problems on my 1080p monitor. thanks!

Is this happening just with twitch, or on games too?

with all videos in chrome, its probably 50% that buffer, youtube has around 70% that buffer, and twitch lags 100% of the time. nothing else really glitches, thats not a video on chrome.

Can you try forcing the monitor into 1080p and see if that changes anything?

Try a different cable, and then try different ports if that does not work. Other then that, idk.
