Can a user who is accessing a computer through Remote Desktop, and a separate user who would login physically, be logged into the same computer without kicking one user off? Example: There is an user named "admin", and a user named "user". The "user" account is being accessed through remote desktop, can the "admin" account be logged into physically with no conflict?

hi @pdzappa

When you got multiply user accounts trying to connect to lets say, same server then you are fine. when you try to connect with same user acc (same user ID) then one of the two will get kicket out. (your remote session will disconnect)

Connecting to a server at daily basis with windows remote desktop. when moving to other computer my old remote session at the first computer will disconnect. (as im trying to connect a second time with the same admin acc, collegue with his own account can login without kicking me out however)

TLDR: To go back to your example "user" wont kick off "admin" as these are different accounts.

I hope this helps :)

We are running remote desktop on windows 7, with just two users (only one is remoting in, the other is a physical login) so a very simple setup. Since it is a desktop operating system and not a server OS would this still work?
