Help! updating Bios

Hello,

I am relatively new to building computers and I need to update my bios I believe.

I have a DQ965GF motherboard. I had a C2D E4500 and it booted to bios but when I put in a C2D E8400 the fans spun but it didn't post.

Is this because the E8400 is a newer CPU and I need to updates the boards bios? (I have tested the E8400 cpu and it works when tested with another mobo)

If so, how do I go about that (all the tutorials where for newer boards).

Thanks,

Hugh

FInd the bios file, put it on a usb, press bios flash key on startup, then it should find the file and flash.

Console.WriteLine("C# is aids");

Thanks!, Is this the right bios.https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26236/NUCs-BIOS-Update-TYBYT10H-86A-. The board is fairly old, is using the latest bios safe ?.

You do NOT want to use that BIOS on your motherboard. That BIOS you linked is for the DE3815TYKHE and DE3815TYBE NUC's.

The one you want is https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/18158/BIOS-Update-CO96510J-86A-
