Swapping mouse sensors

Since the laser sensor in the Razer Mamba and Diamondback sucks, i'm just wondering if it would be technically possible to open up with a screwdriver the device and change the sensor or the circuit in the mouse to a Steelseries circuit (they have alot better sensor) and put it inside a razer mamba or diamondback? (I like the shape) Would it fit and would it be possible without ruining the mouse?

I don't think it would be possible unless the control board recognizes the sensor regardless of what it has.

Again, no idea. I don't have the mice and there are too many things that can be out of line for a simple modding.
