Hello,

I changed computer with a mouse to a newer better upgraded computer with the same mouse as I used on my old computer. However the mouse feels very different in sensitiveness, responsity and stuff like that when it being used on my new computer. Even it's the exact same mouse but used on a different computer.

Is there somehow my old computer have some software installed that could have been adjusting the mouse to feel "good" and my new pc doesn't have?

This mouse doesn't come with any software CD, and it don't have any software on it's website, neither do I have anything installed on my old PC that belongs to this mouse.

I have however other software installed like, Razer Synapse and some other mouse software on it that this doesn't have. Can a different brand mouse software mix the settings with this mouse aswell so it feels "nicer"? Even if it's not of that brand?

You can change the sensitivity in Windows. It's under Control Panel somewhere.

Did you upgrade the monitor?

No it is the same monitor.

It's also set the same sentivitiy in control panel. (both pc's same)

Only thing different is I had my TV also plugged in to my old pc , Can this affect mouse sensitivity ? (or dpi)

So a other brand software for a mice peripheral can't effect this mouse settings?

Thanks, it was activated on my new pc but it was turned off on my old pc.

Weird, I never got any memory of I ever disabling it on my old pc. Maybe a software install for an other mice did it for me?

It feels better now, that setting should more like be called decrease pointer precision. As it feels much more precise to move my cursor at exact locations now then before.

Still my question stands, can a software for an other mouse brand change the settings of an other brand mouse?

I know it can for other stuff like Video cards and sound cards. You get a total different sound output if you have a sound card and install Nvidia drivers than without the Nvidia drivers.

Snip

Unlikely, it is a very common setting to disable, you may have disabled it a long time ago without remembering. Honestly it makes no sense for it to even exist on desktops.

Well thanks again bgibbz I think  you solved it.

Also will the mouse settings control panel affect how the mouse works in games? I think I feel a difference but I'm not sure if i'm just imagine things or if the crosshair / mouse cursor ingames also are affected by the mouse settings in control panel.
