CPU Bottleneck on GPU?

I would like to know if my CPU (APU) is Bottlenecking my GPU.

My RX 460 doesnt seem to run that much faster as expected in Build Logs.

If so, what CPU Do you think you can recommend in the price range $90-$200 (including MoBo if Socket type is different).
or, Should I wait for Ryzen 3 and 5 to come out?

Reply ASAP! TNX!

PS: I dont know where to look in the forums to ask for help so I thought this is the best place i can think of to post. sorry in advance!

[Edit:] I couldnt Overlock on more than 75mhz additional clock speed. i can hover around 5-50mhz on stable without crashing later on. 100mhz add shows no artifacts but crashes games. might bottlenecking also the issue?

PC Specs:
CPU: AMD A8-7600 APU
GPU: ASUS Dual Fan RX460 2GB OC (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K1JVO86/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+

MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-F2A68MH-H

RAM: 8GB (Single Channel)

Even the cheapest Ryzen 5 is going to be $170, plus motherboard and RAM costs, I don't think Ryzen 5 is will fit in your $200 upgrade budget. Ryzen 3, maybe, but that's quite far off.

For now, I'd recommend a G4560, 8GB DDR4, and a B250 motherboard.

EDIT: $174 total: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7p3P9W

R3 starts at $129, so that will be better possible than that due to having more cores, so if you want I suggest waiting and getting an R3 as it looks like a reasonable CPU

The owner of "too many" computers, called

The Lord of all Toasters (1920X 1080ti 32GB)

The Toasted Controller (i5 4670, R9 380, 24GB)

The Semi Portable Toastie machine (i7 3612QM (was an i3) intel HD 4000 16GB)'

Bread and Butter Pudding (i7 7700HQ, 1050ti, 16GB)

Pinoutbutter Sandwhich (raspberry pi 3 B)

The Portable Slice of Bread (N270, HAHAHA, 2GB)

Muffinator (C2D E6600, Geforce 8400, 6GB, 8X2TB HDD)

Toastbuster (WIP, should be cool)

loaf and let dough (A printer that doesn't print black ink)

The Cheese Toastie (C2D (of some sort), GTX 760, 3GB, win XP gaming machine)

The Toaster (C2D, intel HD, 4GB, 2X1TB NAS)

Matter of Loaf and death (some old shitty AMD laptop)

windybread (4X E5470, intel HD, 32GB ECC) (use coming soon, maybe)

And more, several more

At $130 + $60 for motherboard + $60 for RAM (not even counting fast RAM that Ryzen seems to benefit from), that's still $50 over budget. If OP can stretch the budget and wait for R3s, yes, they should be worth it.

oh that is true, but R3s will be a lot better and I feel the extra $60 is definitely worth it, (all motherboards about $70 at the moment, they will decrease in price probably though, soon)

R3 seems to be a good stuff as im hearing and getting from the reviewers (downgrade testing that is) . but when will it be out? I know for sure that R5 will be out this April. Hm... But yeah, even tho the extra $60 will benefit me more, if its going to be probably be released in summer, then I would go for the R5. spending a lil over budget will be definitely worth the wait.

R3 is getting realesed in the second half of the year, so I would imagine in the 3Q, so that is roughly betweem July and September, and if you are willing to wait for R3, please do as it might offer the best performance for the buck, though if you are planning to wait, don't buy it the day it comes out, wait for the independent reviews and watch at least 2 and if they both agree that the R3 chips are better value than intels offering go for it, and get one (I can't promise the R3s will be better than intels offerings, but I have a feeling they will be in many cases, maybe not all though)
