Power Surge

I've gotten this screen a few times in the last 12 hours. It's done it twice upon launching a game. It's also done it randomly after a few hours of being on without doing anything. It does it whether I'm plugged directly into the wall or into my power strip, which doesn't have surge protection. Is this likely a bricked PSU?

Looks like an unstable psu. Do you have another to switch out and test? What psu is it and is it still under warranty.

Believe it's a corsair cx600m. I don't have one available to test. It might still be under warranty, but I got it almost two years ago on someone else's prime account, so I don't have the order info.

Well Corsair has a very good RMA, go to their website and file a claim. Once you provide your info they will ship one to you immediately then you have a certain amount of time to return the faulty psu, otherwise they will charge you. I have done it myself. Good Luck!

So Asus Anti-Surge is triggered by almost everything. Turn it off and your problem will go away. Voila.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that out. I already bought a new PSU, but I'll try turning off anti surge before RMAing the old one and returning the new one.

 

Edit: is there a way to tell outside of Anti Surge if there is a problem and my system is at risk?
