Hey,

So I dusted off a rather old Canon MP540 which I want to use for uni stuff now. I got new cartridges and ran a few self-cleaning cycles but eventually had to take the print head out and rinse it under warm water because it was still clotted. Now most cartridges work except for the small black and yellow ones. Is there anything else I can do to clean this thing and get it working properly again? I know I could buy a new head for like 30$ on ebay but I wanna try everything else first...

Thanks in advance!

Use Print head cleaner.

It can remove the dried ink from the print head. follow the instruction but usually its just the same procedure like u use the warm water but with this one u got to leave it overnight or u may need to suck the ink from the cartridge until its empty inject the printhead cleaner and do a head cleaning. hope it helps
