Google Chrome infected?

Go to solution Solved by pmos,

I formated my machine last month because a website infected my system while i used google chrome.. (Bitdefender alerted me but without much detail on it) Being into security i checked all current vulns/bugs/exploits, and there was nothing to be found.. So could be.. for you it could however just be a bug.

On a side note, its a good idea to format once in a while, and if you suspect your system being infected ofc.

So some of you may know I made a post last month ... or in january I don't remember. Where I stated that my svchost.exe ram usage was off the charts. As high as a plane. Using up to 600,000KB but normally stays around 400,000KB. And this is unatural . It should not be using that much. And trough an experiment I noticed that when I use the Maxthon browser that the svchost.exe would not go so high. Rather it would be as low as 12,000KB.  And when I used chrome after a minute or two it would start to go high as fuck. So could this mean that Chrome has been infected? Should I reinstall? Should I erase the files connected to Chrome?

I'd reinstall Windows just in case (better safe than sorry) but it's not as much  hassle for me as for others anyways. Chrome is a little funny with RAM, but run a malware scan to be sure.

I tried running a Avast scan for the whole system. But it TAKES SO LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. And I also tried to put in my CD key at the microsoft website but it says error. and etc. It just won't work. So I can't reinstall windows, which is what I've wanted to do for a while now.
