Well this has to be my 4th reset since september or july. I feel like the nvidia drivers for the 980 ti have just made performance worse. I don't think it's time for me to upgrade, but I just happen to notice bad quality in games. Like not fps but I just feel like I'm not getting the smooth fps I should be getting. THe only way I can get rid of this is by resetting my pc, deleting everything and installing a fresh version of win 10. I feel like after the windows 10 creators update gets released, ill reset win 10 to the new creator update, and only download the games I know for sure I will play. Also I will try to keep seperate files/drives for everything. Also the question for the troubleshooting is if anyone else has felt this performance issue.

We happen to have the same gpu, have you upgraded to any of the new geforce experience game ready drivers? Or it might just be my display

yes i used every newest driver for the past 8 months or so of using the card, used always the latest driver for my GTX 780 which i owned for over a year, never had a single issue...using a single monitor and a single GPU with mild overclocks.

i would try to create a custom resolution to make the PG258Q monitor run at 75hz...then use vsync in most games other than online FPS.

if it can't take 75hz try 70hz etc.

I tried doing an overclock but anything above 60 hz it would just be a black screen, i feel like i might've done it wrong. Any suggestions on what videos to watch on the topic
