Hey guys. Just had a flash back to 2002 and bought an IBM 600x for $42AUD, works perfectly just needs a new battery.

brought me to think that maybe other people have done what ive done and bought a machine capable of running 16 bit applications natively.

Cant wait to get SimTower up and running once again and the original Doom. Will post some pics when ive got the chance :D

What you paid 42 dollar for that? That just is sad, i saw them almost giving them out at recycling centre. At least the battery is working though, but for how long though.

Yeah, probably the best $42 ive spent in my life :P

got an old T21 from work for free but needs money spent on it, well in excess of $42 and a new battery.

Considered creating VMs which would support 16bit but i just love the nostalgia of something thats 20 odd years old.

I love the idea!

IBM 600x was my first notebook I got from work back in the days. That thing survived anything and kept me fit since it was 2 tons heavy :-)

Now I'm old and fat and got some HP superslim Notebook thingy I couldn't care less about... hmpf
