OS stands for Operating System, it looks like you are using Windows 7...

It looks like it's not being picked up though. How is your headset plugged in? Does your computer have a combined 3,5mm port for both your microphone and your sound?

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

yes, it's two small holes where you can plug in your audio and microphone. The Kraken comes with a combined jack (for both the audio and the microphone in one plug), your PC seems to require them to be separated. There should have been a cable splitting the two in the box with your kraken

Can you show us a picture of how you plugged it in? And a picture of the plug not plugged in?
Also, how do you test your microphone?

Do you hear Audio from the headphones?

What I read on the Kraken is that is has a combined 3.5 jack, which means the jack has 3 black stripes on it. If your laptop (please give brand and model no.) If your laptop has two holes for 3.5 jack most likely you need to split. Be sure to put the green one in the "headphone jack" and the red one in the "microphone jack".

If done correctly "Line In" should be the microphone, so go to the screen on the screenshot you posted, right click on "Line in" and click "Set default device".

In the future please provide as much information as possible. So your microphone brand + mo, your computer brand + mo. The way you're plugging it in (USB or 3.5 jack). More information is better.

Ok, does the microphone volume bar turn green in the Sound screen when rubbing the microphone? Rubbing the microphone will produce a lot of noise that is very audible for the microphone (the friction of your skin and the externals of the microphone) but can't be heard loud enough by other microphones to actually record anything.

It is possible that Discord uses it's separate device control; so you need to make sure it has the right settings in discord as well. I haven't used discord so i'm uncertain about that. Also make sure that you haven't accidentally turned off the microphone with the inline controls on the cable.

[btw, there is an edit button for your posts if you forget something you don't have to post a new message]

That "green thing" is the indicator that shows you who is talking. This means whenever you are listening to something; others can hear it.

Have you tried setting the other Realtek devices as your default communication device? It seems as you aren't using the correct one, or the correct one is disabled.

PS: love me some good e-dubs. may he rest in peace.
