So on my PC I have G-sync enabled with my GTX 1070 and in all my games V-sync is disabled and was wondering if I was missing out on any performance, what does V-sync do and I do have a G-sync monitor

Vsync locks your frame rate to the monitor's refresh rate and its factors (so for 60Hz, you can have 60, 30, 15, 7.5, etc FPS)

Gsync makes the monitor's refresh rate match the current FPS, up to its maximum refresh rate.

Performance wise, VSync also introduces input lag, since it displays what was happening one refresh cycle ago. GSync displays the current frame. Also GSync allows for any FPS up to the refresh rate (there might be a minimum, but it's below 30 FPS), whereas Vsync is fixed and limited.

Using gsync and vsync together in the nvdia controll panel just Capps the game from refreshing past the monitors max refresh rate u can have vsync off in controll panel and on in game for the same effect

with gsync on and v off in game and controll panel once ur fps goes past ur monitors refresh rate tearing will occur as there is no sync at all but u will have reduced input lag, this is ideal for twitch shooters ( overwatch/csgo)

I just saw u have a 1070 the setting u want on In the controll panel are gsyn and fast sync u will never have any tearing no matter what ur fps is and have the least amount of input lag posible

fast sync stops the screan tearing with fps above the monitors refresh rate and gsync stop it tearing under

set both of thies and forget about it
