Windows 10 app reinstall

So I've been playing Modern Combat 5 on my PC. It's a Windows Store (appx) kind of app.

After I downloaded and installed the latest version it just wouldn't launch anymore.

All I get now is the logo and a black screen after it.

And I thought of reinstalling the app, which will probably fix the error, but it will also reset my progress in the game.

So my question is:

Is there a way to reinstall Windows apps with keeping the same data (like on android).

BUT, shouldn't the saved data be linked to your account? i think it should sync up once you login with your Microsoft ID or something. Never tried it myself though.

Ok, I'll try looking at those folders.

And yeah the game has a cloud save feature so I can reinstall it.

Also I will update my windows 10 version to 1607.
