That's a very good and balanced build! What I would reccomend though is that you go with a (Kaby Lake, If the motherboard got a BIOS update) Core i5, and change the GTX 1060 with a 1050Ti. The i5 would be way better than the i3 in terms of video editing and multitasking due to the addition of 2 cores.

My Main Build: NZXT S340 - NZXT Kraken X31 - Crucial MX100 256GB - i5 4460 - Gigabyte Z97P D3 - Kingston HyperX Red 8GB - MSI Nvidia GTX 780 3GB - Corsair LL & HD RGB Fans, Corsair Lighting Node Pro.

Get a better PSU, don't cheap out on this component, especially if your using the PC constantly.

Pentium G4560 (might be wrong w/ the number, but ik it's a kaby lake Pentium) will be better than the I3, and cheaper. Use the extra cash to upgrade PSU to a Seasonic M12ii 520w, and also to get a better SSD

Current System Specs:

CPU: Intel I5-7660K; CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X; Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 Carat; Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon;

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8gb) DDR4 - 2400; SSD Storage: 1TB Samsung 850 EVO; Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm;

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 8gb G1 Gaming; Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Black; PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W 80+ Gold, OS: Windows 10 Home

That model of EVGA PSU is fine. no need to bash it. If you're going to use the peak wattage during long time periods, yes, go for another PSU. But that build will use a max of 300W, so no need to worry.

Also, I've used that SSD in multiple budget builds, I don't see what's wrong with it. speedy enough and cheap

Was more basising it on the fact the PSU is Tier 6, meaning it has some faults to belong so far down, Tier 3 is a safe spot for budget builds.

Didn't know too much about the SSD, my bad.

As far as the question is the I3, worth it?

It appears not, due to Pentium G4560's being the budget chip.
