Internet problems after booting PC

Hi everyone, I figured this is probably the best place to post this.

When I first boot up my PC the internet notification icon on the right side of the taskbar just shows loading for about 2 minutes and it's really frustrating, it feels pointless being able to boot into windows so fast with an SSD if I can't use my internet for even longer than it would take a HDD. I'm running windows 7 if that matters and I'm using a TPlink av600 powerline adapter for my internet however the same problem occurred when I was using a wireless connection.

I can provide more information on my specs etc if needed.

what about a direct connection to the router with a lan cable? or try doing a power cycle on the router. check what's showing up in event viewer.
