Asus Vivobook

Hey all :-)

 

I'm planning to buy a low powered laptop with extended battery life.

I looked around a bit and found Asus Vivobooks to be really cheap, but some with same specs cost usd100+ more than others, where the difference is between 32gb ssd (eMMC) to 512 gb ssd (eMMC), and 4 - 8gb ram.

I tried to do some research on it, and some of them have a spot for a secondary hdd (Planning on a "real" ssd) but I can't figure out if the cheaper models also have it.

So I was wondering if anyone in here has one of the vivobooks, so I can compare? (And yes I know they are "slow" laptops and worth to pay the extra etc, but Windows10 is the first thing to get removed and replaced with arch linux.)

This is a really tricky question. I don't own a Asus Vivobook. I do know that it's often very difficult to find out which model has the second hdd/ssd slot. This is often the case with cheaper laptops. Good luck.

I ended up getting an used 13" Macbook pro with i5.. Long battery life and cheaper than the other i looked at
