What do you mean by tone preferences?

Do you like bass? Do you like treble?
What music do you listen to?

Is noise leak an issue? Will you use them in public or will you listen to them in a loud environment?

Noise leak is not an issue. Going to be using them in a bedroom.

Philips Fidelio X2 would be a good pick. Doesn't have the bass rumble but it has punch. Easy to drive are they also so you wont have to worry about an AMP.

AKG K7XX from massdrop are also a good option. They are crazy comfortable and sound amazing. They are harder to drive than the Philips Fidelio X2's, so a smsl sApII would be a good fit for cheap headphone amplifier if you feel you need one.
