gigabyte mobo boot loop

so i swaped the cpu from a i5 to a i7 and changed ram from 8 to 16gb.... Started bootlooping, Cleared CMOS, still boot looping, tired all but cpu ram and and display output, revertd back to old setup, STILL BOOT LOOPING restaeted ram cpu etc and it's STILL BOOTLOOPING what do i do? mobo link http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-Z97-HD3-rev-10#ov

did you think about updating the BIOS before the chip swap?

 

put back old cpu and 1 stick of original ram, reset cmos. what happens?

is the cpu cooler put back on correctly? it might look like it but not be............. and did you reapply new thermal paste?

then you can try to assemble out of case. ( breadboard )

i meant i did, i found the problem, i inserted the cpu wrong and broke a pin
