Get LG monitors, those allow you to go 75hz provided that you use DisplayPort, I use the 29UM68-P and I really recommend it, solid monitor, and you totally gonna want to take the 1080 so you can still rock ultra's on it with easy taking advantage of the 75hz.

That's the exact monitor I'm thinking of buying. Will it be possible to use Freesync even though it is a Nvidia card? (sorry I'm kind of new in pc building :) )

You can't use Freesync because it is exclusive to AMD nonetheless you can set through nVidia control panel for it to work on 75hz provided that you're using DisplayPort {doesn't work with HDMI}, and in games that you'll want sync, nVidia's Fast sync is actually really really decent, I use it on single player campaign games and it works smooth as ever.

 

And for high competition games, e-sports you not gonna want to sync any ways as the most frames even if beyond the monitor refresh rate are beneficial:

no, freesync works only with amd cards
