AMD are supposed to be releasing a 16c/32t cpu between now and Naples launch (their 32c/64t) server chip. If you really need 14 cores then Intel's offering would have to be a Xeon? Which would pale in comparison to AMD's Naples due to stagnation in the Xeon line.
