Hey guys, I play a lot of Counter Strike and Overwatch so my ping is very important. (usually from 40-70 with my family also using the internet), however a few days ago my ping started to stay around the 600-1000 range which is completely unplayable and I found the problem is my brothers rig (about 6 years old). If it's powered on it drives my ping through the roof, even if it's not doing anything that involves internet connection, yet my other brother streaming netflix and using facebook on his laptop doesn't affect my ping at all. Anyone know why this is happening/how to fix it as it's really annoying.

Keep your brothers computer on for a while and make sure everything is up to date.

Check the processes being ran in the background and look to see what is using the bandwidth on that machine. (Does he have any torrents running)

He won't let me near his computer and tells me to fuck off if I try fix it on his end. I know he isn't downloading anything because I tested it when he was out of the house (I know his password). Is there any monitoring software or anything like that so I can see if his computer is using up all of the bandwidth somehow
