Gaming/LAN Events -- HELP!

Hi guys so I am always trying to find events for gaming and computer related stuff, similar to Computex, PAX Pime, E3, ComiCon etc. Yet I never hear about them until AFTER they happen. I keep searching for event lists but they are always from like 2009. So can you guys please help? I REALLY want to go to events like the ones previously listed, and those are pretty much the only ones I know about. So can someone link me a calendar for gaming events or LAN events in California? Or maybe you just know about some coming up? Thank you very much.

Yeah I saw that one which is basically exactly what I'm looking for and that's why I'm fed up and I need to find some to go to lol!

Why don't you go to it?  I would, but I am under 17 so I couldn't play the games anyway, which is silly, cause I play BF4 everyday at my house... Stupid laws....

You are welcome :D, I learn with my mother (Not a homeschooling, just don't go to regular school) and while I could convince her to let me go, I would miss a day of school, and wouldn't be able to play at all, so it might be kinda boring :(

You'd better bookmark event sites or signup for newsletter. Some magazines do LAN coverage and have calendar listed where they will be over the year. Intel LANFest is one of those. I've read about it from CPU magazine. One way is to go through tournament calendars on game related sites and see where tournaments are being held. Though here its easier since there are about 20 event over year.
