usb / hdmi switch with preferred inputs

Does a kvm switch (or hdmi switch + usb 3 switch) exist that uses a preferred input instead of 'press button to switch'?

 

For cable neatness sake I'd like to be able to have my peripherals and monitor connect to my server machine normally, but automatically switch to my laptop when I plug it into the usb and hdmi that I'll have routed through a cable grommet on my desk. I'd like to not have to have the kvm box out and visible or have to mess with it to switch, just connect to laptop if it's there, fallback to server otherwise.
