Error 0x90070422 Networking Issue

Hi everyone.

 

A friend is looking for help to sort this problem: pic.twitter.com/v7Dg7kiuuC

 

After further interrogation, I found that he installed one of those "PC Optimizers" which might have messed with the registry and caused this problem.

 

He is currently installing MBAM on his computer to check that any trace of the optimizer is gone.

 

I have gone through a couple of things such as checking to see if BFE is enabled and it is.

 

Does anyone have any more suggestions or links that I can send over that might be of some use?

BFE? I would uninstall the network driver then reinstall it after rebooting. Better yet just do a clean install and upgrade that computer to Windows 7/8.
