Directx 12 compatibility problem?

Does the hd 7870 support dx 12? because in dxdiag it says my current version is dx 11.2.What should I do to upgrade from 11.2 to 12?

DX11 only. Remember, it's quite an old card.

You can't, your GPU doesn't support DX12

All GCN cards support DX 12. Your issue night be driver related. There have been drivers that bork Vulkan on newer cards too.

This doesn't specifically say the HD 7870 supports DirectX 12 either, but it does say all R7 series cards do. And most of the early R7 cards were just rebrands of the HD 7000's. If, say, the R7 270X supports DirectX 12, the HD 7870 must. It's the same chip.
