Unknown problem

I had tried to set my ram to 2800mhz from 2133mhz, and my CPU temps rose to 80c so  I had to set the speed back to normal. same thing for my GPU( GTX EVGA 980ti SC) and they rose to 80c. Any idea what can be wrong with my setup ? Thank you.

It's quite normal, memory controllers are in the cpu. So if you boost your memory clocks GPU/RAM , it will increase the temps by 5 or so Celsius.

It went from 50c to 80c so
