Hi guys,

I have my machine up and running, but I want to add another graphics card to my setup.  However, I was building my machine on a budget originally, and I  am not sure if I have to buy another, higher wattage, power supply.  I am currently running:

intel i5 3570knvidia gtx 660 (want to add a 2nd)
corsair h100i
sound blaster z audio card
tenda wireless adapter
asus z77 sabertooth
samsung 840 120GB (boot)
samsung 1 TB
G.Skill 2x4 GB @ 1866 MHz
rosewill fortress 650W

Thanks!

Buy a better PSU, such as a 750W Corsair or Seasonic, and then you can SLI. You may be able to get away with it now, but I am not sure if that PSU will hold up.

You might be fine if your cpu is not overclocked, but I would get a new psu to be sure.  Also if you have a psu lying around that is like 400 watts or something you can get an add2psu and use them both!

Your cutting it a little close with the PSU, my first suggestion, is no. Unless you know the PSU can push that much wattage.

Ok...

@AndrewCorbin

The Rosewill Fortress is a solid ATNG build PSU, and it's based on the same platform internally as the Fractal Design Tesla R2. With two non-Ti 660 that has a rather modest power draw of <140w each, you can overclock that i5 3570k however you want on that 650w unit and still have room to spare. Don't worry.

I would get a 750W psu like a XFX Core 750W to give it some room for overclocking.
