GPU Overheating after installing new mobo.

I built my first computer last night, bought an i7 7700k, Vengeance ram 2x8gb 3200 mhz, Corsair h100i v2 and an ASUS Maximus Hero IX motherboard. For the GPU, SSD and PSU used the ones I already had. My graphics card is an ASUS STRIX Radeon r9 390 which would usually hit 84c after gaming for a while, now with the new mobo it immediately hits 90c. Maybe I installed the wrong drivers? Don't have an optical drive so I had to install them manually, but for some reason couldnt install the VGA ones. Or perhaps I damaged the card during the build?

there used to be a problem with AMD drivers quite a while back where the fans would get locked to a very low speed, maybe that is back?

 

also, make sure they're spinning at all.

The fans are spinning properly, even downloaded MSI Afterburner to set them myself. For some reason it quickly reaches 90c, something that didn't happen on the old motherboard.
