Alright so I bought an EKWB AIO 240mm cooler. The plan was to put it in an N-Case M1 with a z270 asrock itx/ac mb and a 7700k. I also bought a gtx 1070 an a waterblock for the gpu. Then I realized I had enough space at the bottom of the case for another slim 240 mm rad and some slim fans. I have the AIO bringing air into the the case and the slim rad/fan set up pushing air out. Whenever I go into the bios I can watch the cpu temp go from resting at 60 degrees c to up to 90 before I have to turn it off, all why just at the bios screen. I can feel the cpu block getting hot to the touch after I turn the computer off. There are no leaks, the system is full of EK cooling fluid, and I can hear the pump whining. This is my first 'custom' watercooling build. Since it was in such a small build I had to cut some of the soft tubing down and remove on of the quick disconnect links for space reasons. I am not sure what the problem for all the heat is though.

My thoughts are:

Dead pump (but its brand new)

Or pump is not strong enough to push through the 2 rads and the loop which has about 8 right angle fittings in it because of the tight turns needed

For troubleshooting I removed the pump power from the EK AIO board and plugged it directly into the MB pump 4 pin connector and that didn't seem to make a difference. Any thoughts?

Note: I have not overclocked anything or even installed windows.

The pump should not have any issue with that loop as it's not very large or high restriction, however if it sudden climbs that high I think you may have a large air bubble stuck inside the loop or that the pump might be DOA. If you can feel the CPU block being warm the rads should be warm to the touch, see if the pump is giving out an RPM it's not unheard of a new pump not working on arrival.

Your pump should not be whining at all. It would help if you included which kit you purchased from EK and a photo of the installed loop. From the sounds of it though it could be that you don't have enough fluid in the system.
