I have recently just about finalized my first build minus the monitors.

I'm looking at a GTX 1080 Ti and an intel i7 7700k.

Where I'm having trouble is I want to make sure I can get my money's worth out of the 1080 Ti.

Currently, I'm looking at a primary monitor of either the ASUS-MG279Q, Acer XF270HU, or Dell S2716DG.

I will be doing amix of content creating and gaming so I think an IPS monitor will be better, but I'm still not entirely sure.

For my secondary monitor I was thinking am Acer XF240H, since I won't need 1440p on both.

Which monitors do you all recommend and is dropping around $700 on monitors worth it with a build of this caliber?

the MG279Q is a freesync monitor. a NVIDIA card won't be able to use freesync. the XF270HU is also a freesync monitor

the S2716DG is gsync, but it's TN. from what i've heard from reports it's a pretty good TN panel

This is exactly why I decided to do more research, thank you I wasn't entirely sure how freesync and g-sync worked. Do you have any recommendations for  144 Hz 1440p G-sync IPS monitors? I see the Acer XB270HU might fit me a bit better in that regard.
