Google + is amazing

It would be great if I didn't have to have a Google + account.  YouTube has lost one commenter.

Well, why exactly do you not want a Google+ account? I have a personal google account that i also use to log in to youtube, but it displays a different name and profile pic there. It's completely the same as before and i can still post comments.

I don't like the comment system or having to use google plus to check comments

Well, you can make a g+ account with a fake name and connect it to your youtube accont, if you feel that strongly about not having a g+ account. You can then use youtube as before. OK, the new comment system will still be there i guess.

I actually like Google+

the integration with youtube is cludgy though!

Honestly, I don't think it's so bad. Put a character limit on, disallow the content creators from censoring words, disallow ASCII, disconnect it from Google+ and disallow shortened URLs and you're good.

Well, those features are all good, but people abuse them (apart from connection with g+). Google tried to improve comments (adding features is not a bad thing, right), but apparently youtube is not ready for that.

 

The old system worked just fine though.

This changed has proved that there is no intelligence to be had in the Youtube comment section. Case closed.
