Alright so I've been playing bf4 on around low settings and my fps goes average from about 50-70 but it will randomly drop to unplayable fps like around 5-15 fps. Also on my fx-6100 I disabled 2 cores and it seems to run better then having all six on but I still get stutters. I also checked my cpu usage while playing and it sometimes goes to 100% is there any way to fix this? Also my drivers are all up to date.

Fx-6100 @4 ghz

560ti

8gb ram 1566mhz

You should never have to disable cores to play a game properly, I wouldn't suggest doing it.

Just battlefield you have to wait for more up to date drivers with the problems fixed. there loads of problems with BF4 like it crashs not and then for no reason just what its like for the first month or two when a new game comes out.

Our Lord and Saviour Chunt!!!

Your graphics card is going to be causing the problems here. I would suggest turning down your settings and resolution. Otherwise plan to upgrade your GPU. Also remember that the game is very buggy right now so with more mature drivers and game patches it might smoothen out later.

I'm planning on upgrading to a 280x around the next month, but I don't understand why I get less frame stutters when I disable my 5th and 6th cores.

I am going to blame 99% of it on EA forcing Dice to release BF4 before it was ready just to beat CoD: Ghost's release.

If you are running windows 7 or 8

disable core parking, saw a certain improvement on my 3770k (10-15FPS solid), NEVER disable cores for gaming.

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/72252-cpu-core-parking-in-windows/

Have already done this it added more fps but didn't stop the fps drops.

(download the second link)
