Motherboard cpu upgrade

So my pc is 3 years old, but ion the meanwhile it got its gpu and psu upgraded to a msi gtx 1070 and corsair rm750x.

currently it has 16gb of ddr3 ballistix ram (which i dont want to adjust)

 

for the motherboard i have a ASUS M5A78L-M/UBS3

and for the cpu i have a AMD Vishera FX-8350.

 

I'd like to upgrade these 2 for a max of 300 euro's, without having to buy any other parts (other than cpu cooling maybe).

so it has to work 100% with my gtx1070 and ddr3 ram.

since i'm not a master at pc's i'd like clear answers for all to understand

so 300 euros, can be a little bit more ofc but you know.

A used I5 4690k or i7 4790k + motherboard?

Yup, do this.  For 300 euros you should be able to find these parts used.  You want a motherboard with a Z97 chipset and either of those CPUs mentioned.

do you have any example motherboard for me to get an idea of what i should be looking for?

Anything that is Z97 will be good, but try to stick with good brands such as Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA, or MSI.

It is possible to use a Z87 motherboard as well, but you might need to update the BIOS in order to run with the 4690k or 4790k (4770k is good too).
