(Notice the purchased parts)

I'm not too sure about the mobo or GPU.

If I get an EVGA GPU, I'm probably going to get this bracket and Plastidip it white.

I'm also looking at a similar EVGA 1080.

My requirements for GPU:

Color Neutral (preferably white)

Backplate

Quiet if possible

I was looking at the ASUS 1070 Dual, ColdZero makes a backplate for it, but with the backplate it was $450, which is the same price as the MSI Sea Hawk 1070.

I'm not entirely sure which is the better option, but I'm leaning towards the cost effective EVGA 1070.

If I don't get that bracket and plastidip it I will get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MT7EIDT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AVGUSX8EUG9VS

So, thoughts?

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

CPU : Is this for gaming or for video editing?

If editing, keep the 6700k, if gaming, go with a 6600K

Motherboard : The Z170 - Pro is pointless.

Get the Z170-A from Asus, and save yourself $50

Cooler : Corsair H110i V2, cheaper, and better

GPU : if you want an AIO water GPU, go with an EVGA Hybrid card

Aside from that, look good

Aside from that, look good

1. I have the 6700k, I got it for $160 from a friend brand new

2. The Z170-A is more expensive right now

3. I have the NZXT Hue+, I had the x61 and was thrilled with it. The x62 is a great cooler and I'm going to get it, and the Corsair is barely better and not really cheaper.

4. I like the MSI hybrid, and I've heard iffy things about the EVGA hybrid. the MSI hybrid would also look better with my parts

1: Fair Enough

2: Thats only with a MIR

3: Understable

4: I owned a 980ti Hybrid from EVGA and it was amazing. The 1080 FTW's did have an issue, but the Hybrid's didnt

I don't see anything wrong with this setup.  I would recommend the Crucial MX300 SSD though, as I've had good success with them, and they're about the same cost.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W

I don't mind MIRs

Is there anything better about the 1070 hybrid than the 1070 Sea Hawk? because the sea hawk would look and fit better in my build

I'll look closer into that, but when I initially looked at the 2 the Sandisk was faster.

It's also not a terrible blue
