Hi guys, 

I have old printer which was sitting on a closet and I needed something to print so I tried to print something and I install drivers again and connected everything so i tried to print image and it didn't "swallowed" paper so what could be the problem and how can I fix it if it is possible?

Printing machine is Canon PIXMA MP 240.

Check for dust. Let it do lots of blank pages/feed/eat paper. Try cleaning it.

 

I wouldn't try and use oil (like WD-40) to make things work. Could screw up the internals/get oil where you don't want it. And I also wonder if the cartrigdes would be ok after a while.

 

If you HAVE to print something, I would go and find a place to print. (I usually go to the public library to print stuff, or a cheap copy shop if it needs to be high quality)

I already printed what I need in library but it would be good for printer would be good for printing some text.

So when I oiled it it should swallowing paper and can cartrigdes be bad after a while?
