Upgrading cpu/mobo

I'm upgrading from my 4th gen i3 to something beefier. was looking at the i7 7700(maybe k). What would be a good mobo?. Looking at the z270 tomahawk, but really not sure. I don't care about m.2 or huge amounts of sata connections. It will be used for both content creation and gaming

I've got an ASRock Z270 KILLER SLI/AC in my media center pc, it's a good motherboard for the price point. My main rig has an MSI Z270 Gaming pro mobo, has a lot more features and not that much difference in price.
