Heya Everyone,

I'm having some issues with static electricity building up on the outside panels of the Silverstone FT03 case. The issue is mainly annoying when I take a side panel off and then it touches the other side of the case and discharges. This usually results in the computer rebooting. I'm assuming this is bad, as I don't like the idea of having a case turning my computer off xD. I know I am not supposed to open a case when a computer is turned on, but sometimes I like to show the computer off to friends and I don't want to turn it off to do this.

Any ideas on what could be causing this and ways I could go about fixing it?

You're sure you actually have standoffs installed right? Or something else is moving and shorting when you put the panel back on. I highly doubt it's even possible for that big a charge to build up on a side panel.

Hello, I can confirm this issue with the SilverStone FT03 Mini. I was having the problem where a static discharge from touching or bumping the case would cause the system to reset.

The solution that appears to have resolved this for me is to add ground wires between each removable panel and the chassis. I was able to attach a wire using a case screw with existing fine-thread screw holes located on the inside of the aluminum panels. I then attached the other end of the wire to the chassis with additional screws, but you could also use existing screws that are attached to the powersupply for example.

Hope this helps!
