For the system in my signature to enable me to have higher fps in Mass Effect - Andromeda.  Will this ram get on with my motherboard right now, and still be okay if down the line when I throw a 7700k CPU in there?

PC - NZXT H510 Elite, Ryzen 5600, 16GB DDR3200 2x8GB, EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra, Asus VG278HQ 165hz,

Mac - 1.4ghz i5, 4GB DDR3 1600mhz, Intel HD 5000.  x2

Endlessly wishing for a BBQ in space.

You're focusing on the wrong thing. You'd be better off buying a Z mobo so that you can OC that RAM of yours, Skylake likes frequency more than lower latency.

Yes, it's basically the same (probably actiually) RAM that you have in your PC right now. Although if you already have 8 GB installed just buy another 8 GB stick of the same RAM.

Got 2x 4GB sticks in the current issue is the CPU cooler blocks a Dimm Slot.  So going to remove the 8GB ram and replace with 2x 8GB. As Mass Effect Andromeda recommends 16GB ram.

Fair point but just focussing on getting this rig to play Mass Effect Andromeda then I can focus on getting the cash together for CPU/Mobo swap.  Use the 8GB I'm removing from this to put into the removed mobo with the 6600k from this system, add a tier 2 PSU and a basic SSD + case and sell it on.
