EVGA Precision XOC Issue

I saw JayzTwoCent's video on how one could bump up a GPUs performance by simply increasing the target power and temperature. It was a way to get a few FPS without doing a thing to the clock speeds. Being a noob in the overclocking world, I figured I'd give it a shot. I got plenty of power and my GPU is water cooled so I wasn't worried about stressing anything out. My problem comes in with trying to have those settings saved. Each time I restart my computer, the software defaults my card to it's factory settings, essentially toggling back my power and temperature 'overclock'. I've saved these settings to a profile, why isn't that profile the new default? Am I just missing something or is this how it is supposed to be?

TL;DR

Precision XOC settings are reverted upon each startup, how can I force it to keep settings?

Thanks for any insight!

I've had this too, both with XOC and MSI Afterburner. I don't bother with profiles, because half the time when I restart the settings are gone, and I just readjust the stuff I've changed. But it's not nearly as annoying for me because I'm not overclocking. I've never found a fix but maybe someone knows.

Yeah it's kinda annoying. Not a deal breaker, my games all perform fine. I just thought I'd start doing some tweaks to see what I can get out of it. Thanks for the reply.
