SLI Detection Problems

I got two EVGA GPUs in SLI, the EVGA Precision OC and Nvidia Control Panel all detects the two GPUs all connected and in SLI, but in many of my games like Witcher 3 and Watch Dogs 2, it only uses one GPU and leaving the other in idle.

What is the problem? How to fix it?

Switch them to DX11 mode. DX12 is not supported yet for SLI in Witcher 3 at least. I know this from personal experience. I dont have Watch Dogs 2, but I would assume the same thing likely.

Hey man, I have a single gtx 1070 and I plan to get another one. Is it worth it? I saw you have 2 in SLI.. What performance gains are we talking about? Fps wise. The more info the better

Depends on the resolution you play at. if you play at 1080p, then no its not as you will be CPU bound and not able to achieve full power from your GPUs. If you play at 1440p or 4k, then yes I think its worth it to get the extra horse power.

I play at 1440p maxed out. What kind of numbers am I looking at?

I just logged in real quick, I play with everything 100% maxxed out at 1440p as well for Witcher 3.

Speaking of Witcher 3, I'm seriously thinking of getting it. Is it worth it? Story wise. I've heard some of the game mechanics are super janky.. How's the performance on single gpu? How much do you have to compromise to get that 60fps?

Single card you have to turn down some settings to get 60fps I am not very far in personally so I cant give you a good answer on it, but from all accounts with people it is an amazing game.
