Hey guys, So I went ahead and ordered a bunch of parts for a new build. I was planning on doing a water cooled 350D But last night, Linus got me thinking with the Arc mini Review. I have a few questions regarding the 350D. Can I remove the optical drive cage? And anyone with the case, Have you been able to Stash away SSD's Behind the Mobo tray or any other place that keeps them out of sight? If not, I think Im going to go ahead and grab the Arc Mini.

Yes you can remove it.

Yes you can put SSD's behind the MB tray. http://img.hexus.net/v2/chassis/Fractal/ArcMidiR2/midi-04b.jpg on the right, holes for 2 SSD's

Or you can gecko Velcro them.

I would say yes to ssd mounting on back of mobo tray, looks enough clearance, don't know about ODD though cant see if they are rivets or screws, presuming screws.

Thanks for the replies guys! I love the look of the 350D and Im glad I can stash away some SSD's But I cant get over the fact I can use a 360mm Rad in the Arc Mini. I got some thinking to do :P

I have the 350D myself, and if I were to water cool, I know you can remove the rivets holding the 5.25" bays. I already have my ssd attached to the back of my motherboard tray inset that's holding the PSU with double sided tape. I'd stick with the 350D! It looks awesome and the you probably won't need anything more than a thin 240/280 in the top and a thick 240/280 in the front to cool a CPU and even 2 GPUs.
