Yes, I thought of using those, but I kind of figured I'd stay in the Core i series just for a bit more performance. if anything I want to get a decent cpu atleast

The G4560 is like a core i3 with a slightly lower clock speed... the g4560 has hyperthreading, unlike previous pentiums. So if this pc does nothing more than play videos, the G4560 seems like a great option.

Hello everyone,

The computer I've had so far is the HP pavilion p6130f. And it finally broke down yesterday. I'm pretty sure its a Ram issue because while attempting to fix it following a video online (linked below), I heard 1 long beep on repeat when I pulled out all the rams and ran it.  So I figured I'd just rebuild it. I'm planning to get a new motherboard, CPU and Ram (linked below). I was just wondering if I could possible reuse the chassis, hard drive and psu (300W) from the original. Would that work? Thanks all^^

Usage: This computer is mainly used as a TV replacement so nothing more than a few videos are gonna be played on it.

Yes you can reuse them. Also, if you removed all of the RAM, it will not post no matter what you do.

I'd get single stick of 8GB RAM to upgrade down the road

Also look for B250 + G4560 they are cheaper and the performance is negligible
