so on one of my fans that im going to use for a radiator has a crack in it, the wing isnt off but its a noticable crack. should i replace that 1 fan with some other fan and if so does any fan in the right size work?

If the crack is in the blades, it depends.

It should be fine as long as it doesn't run against the rim of the fan hub

it's just gonna get worse. super glue it (be sure to add a dab of equal amount to the adjacent fin for balance) or replace it.

i have 3 fans from my h440 case that i could put on the radiator and then use 2 of the good fans +1 from my old cpu cooler. would that work? to have 2 different sorts of fans in the front?

Thats enough that you should replace it

You don't want the blade snapping off when your PC is running at full steam, the fin landing on your hot VRAM / MOFSET's, melting, and killing the electricals

put the one different fan on a separate header and try to match the RPM to the other two in your software fan control. be sure to select either DC or PWM in bios otherwise it may run at constant speed.

even if you don't do this, it'll be fine. it'll just run at a different speed than the others, which isn't the end of the world.

i have one of these but with 3 headers. could i just connect the three fans to one of these, match the RPM and be good to go? EDIT: this one http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-cable-y-splitter-3-fan-pwm-10cm.html

you can't individually control each fan with a splitter.

not each fan individually but wouldnt i be able to set them all to the same RPM?

you might get lucky and the voltage response of the fans are all fairly close to each other. I wouldn't bet on it, but it's not the end of the world if they don't.
